2023 American Express Championship Picks

The PGA Tour heads to the mainland, the first week of the season (full field) was looking promising at multiple points. Spieth takes the 1st round lead and then misses the cut (see ya later Top 10 Bet), Tom Kim played just awful, but we were alive on McNealy, Suh and Hardy. Suh and Hardy were right there and then they decided to eject on Sunday. The tough parts of betting on PGA Tour.

Now on to the American Express Championship (The AMEX) which is played across 3 course in Palm Springs. This course is an absolute birdie fest. So we are looking for people that can take it low in the vaccum that is desert golf. Unless the wind blows a little bit, the weather should be perfect, the courses are setup to be a little bit easier. It's just about can you bomb it and make some putts. With that said, lets get to the picks, this week I'm on DraftKings because I was getting better odds for the picks.

Rickie Fowler +9000 to win

I'm on the Rickie Fowler comes back to some form train. His recent swing changes look fantastic, he can move it pretty decently and if he gets the putter going nobody can take it lower. It's optimistic but the price is just too much to pass up.

Will Gordon Top 10 +800

An absolute bomber who has been playing with some form. Didn't play bad in Hawaii but this course suits his game more. He can absolutely blow away the golf course with his driver and I think he could possibly see a win in 2023.

Tony Finau +1200 to win

When we talk about making birdies, Finau makes birdies. One of the top biride makers going back to last season, and he obviously can overpower the course. I think he could be a favorite to win if his putter was a little more consistent. I like him in the vaccum conditions of the desert.

Taylor Montgomery +700 Top 5

A great putter and driver of the golf ball. Essentially the two elements you need and playing well since he joined the tour this year. I'd look for this guy to maybe pick off a win in 2023, but I'm going with the Top 5 to continue some good play from last week in Hawaii.
